Where do your donations go?

Your (tax deductible) donations are exclusively used for the upkeep of our Historic Center and Cemetery and are not used to support any efforts to commercialize Stoddartsville.

As of 2020, we completed our headstone restoration project thanks to the dedicated efforts of Matt Kaiser. He has repaired, excavated, and/or straightened well over 200 markers that needed attention. We are now ready to shift from restoration mode to maintenance mode. Similarly, Kevin Seese and his son Oliver are dedicated to meticulously caring for the grounds around the Historic Center and Cemetery on a regular basis.

 

The SPS and The Luzerne Foundation signed an agreement on January 5, 2011. This agreement allows the SPS to receive tax deductible contributions under the umbrella of The Luzerne Foundation's 501(c)(3) status. The SPS was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization on May 19, 2011.
